Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Association (PCCCA) is a partner in ministry with the Presbyterian Church (USA). PCCCA seeks to provide a common voice and shared vision for camp and conference ministry in the Presbyterian Church. With over 140 Presbyterian affliated camp spread out across the nation, over 22,000 children, youth, and adults are served through this organization annually.
The Presbyterian Church (USA) has approximately 2.4 million members in 11,100 congregations nationwide. The history of the church can be traced back to 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our core beliefs originated with John Calvin (1509-1564), who was instrumental in developing Reformed thinking.
The American Camp Association (ACA) is a nationwide organization devoted to the camping minstry. With over 6,700 diverse members, ACA develops standards, training, leadership seminars, etc. meant to ensure a safe, positive experience for all who visit camps. Only 1 in 3 camps acheive the status of compliance with these standards which have come to be known as industry standards.
